A sunny courtyard garden in Oval/Kennington had been neglected for a few years - planting was sparse, and a couple of well-established Nandina domestica had outgrown their space.

 

Following a good tidy up and prune, some hardy evergreen shrubs, climbers and perennial grasses were added to the borders, to create some low-maintenance, year-round structure and interest.

 

The courtyard becomes an inviting space to eat and socialise once more.
