Garden consultation

Perhaps you are looking for advice or inspiration, rather than a full garden design or makeover. We offer a one-off consultation on, for instance, the following:

Planting
Suggestions for planting in tricky areas - in shade or dry conditions. To attract wildlife and increase ecological credentials. Safe planting for children and pets. Edible planting.

Hard landscaping
To suit different ambitions of style, eco credentials and budget we can put together suggestions for surfaces (patios, paths, steps) and boundaries (fences, walls).

Front gardens
Often just a small space used for practical storage of bins and bikes, it can equally be beautiful for you and the passing world, adding value to your property.

After the consultation we will provide you with a report detailing our suggestions, with ideas for next steps.

Planting design
​
Not every garden needs a complete makeover. Perhaps your borders or containers need a refresh, or you might want inspiration for a change of direction or circumstances - ie to attract wildlife, to create year-round interest and structure, to be child and pet friendly, to reduce need for irrigation, for instance.

We can provide advice on species and cultivars, with existing soil and light conditions, and on levels of maintenance you are comfortable with.

We will provide you with a planting plan, detailing exact plant names and quantities. We can also offer sourcing and procurement, and a setting-out and planting service if required.
